The Local Area
The Manor House Leisure Village is part of the El Paredon hamlet, a small community a few kilometers from the main town of Pinoso. El Paredon consists of a few spread out houses, farms and vineyards as shown on the map. Pinoso is where most of the local services begin.
Pinoso and its surrounding villages are situated in valleys between mountains on the Alicante / Murcia border. It is a safe area in a well respected wine making region. Although it is rural Spain, it is barely an hour’s drive from Alicante, making it an easy trip to the beaches, shops and rail / air links. Murcia is a similar distance and will be home to the newly announced Paramount Studios Theme Park.
The local and surrounding area enjoys breathtaking panoramic views with rolling mountains and open plains, some presenting an almost lunar landscape.
Pinoso is currently serviced by the two main airports of Alicante and San Javier which are a 45 minute and 70 minute drive respectively; routes to all the major UK airports are serviced by most of the budget airlines. There is a new airport under construction 45 minutes away near Murcia which will have a full air, road and rail infrastructure developed to service the planned Paramount Studios Theme Park.
Murcia will host a major theme park development which has just been approved. The Paramount Studios Theme Park has given the whole area large expectations for the future, with thousands of jobs being created to build both the infrastructure and the Park as well as operate it. The Manor House is well positioned for this and is about an hour’s drive from the new Theme Park, so close enough to visit, but far enough away to avoid the hustle and bustle.
